FAQ

Are the prizes real?
Yes. If you win cash or any other prize playing Scratchix, it's really yours! All we need is your address to deliver the prize, or your Paypal e-mail address to send you the payment. In some cases, if it proves impossible to deliver the prize to you physically, we may offer to pay you the cash equivalence of your prize, instead of delivering it.

How much free scratch cards do I get?
You get 3 free scratch cards daily. You can also send free scratch cards to your friends, and they can send cards to you. There is a limit of 25 cards per day that you can receive from friends, UNLESS you completed offers or purchased cards from your account balance in the last 30 days. If you gained more than 100 cards that way, the receiving limit is lifted and you can get as much free cards as you have friends who play Scratchix.

Is playing Scratchix gambling?

No. Gambling is not allowed according to Facebook Terms and Conditions. Scratch cards are received or earned are FREE OF CHARGE. You can gain extra scratch cards by completing advertiser offers.

Note: in some cases you may have to pay the advertiser for his product or service for getting free scratch cards in return.

What are prize tokens?
Instead of winning a prize instantly, you win "prize tokens". You need to complete the collection of tokens before you can request the delivery of your prize. How many tokens you need, depends on the prize value. On average, the amount of tokens needed is the "prize value" divided by "5". For example, a Nintendo Wii worth $250 will require you to win 50 tokens.

What are the Game/Movie of the Month prizes?
Each month, we give away a new game or movie. There is no limit to the amount of games or movies given away, BUT you must collect the required number of tokens in THAT month. Every month, a new Game/Movie of the Month is selected and you start collecting at 0.

How are prizes allocated?
Above all, we want the distribution of prizes to be fair. Each day at midnight (Central European Time or GMT+1), the available winning tickets are generated from the prize fund. The winning tickets are distributed randomly during the day. Each scratch card gives you an equal chance of winning. On average, 1 out of every 10 scratch cards is a winner.

How does Scratchix pay for the prizes?
To give away prizes, we need money. That's no secret. To increase the prize fund, we ask that you regularly complete offers, like filling in an online questionnaire or installing a certain Facebook application. This does not cost you anything, but from the advertising revenue generated, we can build a prize fund so you can win big prizes and lots of cash!

Who will win the big $1000 prize?
The top prizes are rotated in the system to appear at random, but obviously we can't give away a $1000 prize every day (not yet at least!). Currently, the $1000 prize is set to be given away once every year.

I completed an offer but didn't get extra scratch cards?

Sometimes it takes a few hours up to a day, before you are credited with extra scratch cards. That's because the advertiser needs to verify if the information received is correct. If you haven't received the extra scratch cards 48 hours after completing the offer, please contact us and we'll get it sorted for you.

When can I request payment?
To reduce administrative costs associated with payment transactions, your account balance needs to be minimum $25 before you can request payment.

Note: there are no fees charged. If you check out $25 in prize money, that is what you will get in your Paypal or Spare Change account. Only Paypal might charge you their fees, over which we have no control.

The prizes are small, but the scratch cards are free, so I can't complain! I've won $42 so far and had a lot of fun playing. Thanks Scratchix
